Beach Trip...day 1

Here are few pics from our first night at the beach from last week. I am way behind, but for some reason I don't seem to have much free time on my hands lately. We had a great trip with the family.

Lineman Rodeo

This past weekend the Sevier Co Electric System hosted the Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo at WSCC. It's a two-day competitive event for electrical lineman focusing on safety, skills, and knowledge in their field. Its also a great opportunity for their families and friends to get to see a small portion of things they do on the job. Titus and his co-workers competed in events and since they were hosting they did the presenting of the flags to kick off the event. It was really neat to see.

Thomas and I were proudly watching them in their events and praying for their safety!

I was amazed watching them climb up the poles so fast it looked like they were running up the poles.
And it seemed as smooth as if they were on flat ground! They made it look very easy, though I am certain it is definitely NOT!

Thomas' favorite event to watch is the "Hurt man Rescue"

They also had a great kids area set up with bouncy houses and slides and stuff as well a pole with a platform built up so that the kids could get a picture made wearing all the gear and pretending to climb the poles. I thought this part was great. Thomas thought loved pretending to climb with his daddy!

9 Months Old

Tyler Patrick you turned 9 months old yesterday!

What are you up to these day??

• You weigh 20lbs and 4oz
• You still wear size 3 diapers and 12 months clothes
• You are still eating about the same as last month but we have added in puff's for snacks and a little more table food here and there
• You now have 5 teeth (3 on the bottom and 2 on top..a couple of those have just barely broken through)
• You have been waking up at least once at night for a bottle most of the time. I have given up on trying to sleep all night for the time being. It's clear you feel we should spend quality time together in the middle of the night so I will just enjoy it and stop fighting it!
• You went swimming for the first time in a pool during this past month. (at Kim's house)
• You also had your first picnic in the mountains
• You got another haircut this month, I suppose you will be getting them regularly now, it grows really fast!
• You are very much a boy on the move! You are crawling all over the place now, in the last few days you have really picked up your speed too! You are also pulling up and standing by yourself now. I can't believe how much you have changed over the last 4 weeks.
• Thomas has this little flag that you love to play with, and I noticed you waving it in the air like such a big boy this morning I had to grab the camera and snap a couple pictures of you. 

• And then while I was trying to get ready this morning I found you trying to play with my laptop...This is the look you gave me when you realized you had been busted...The look on your face cracks me up! Needless to say you are keeping us on our toes for sure now!

Picnic in the Mountains

Sunday Tyler had his first Picnic at Metcalf Bottoms to celebrate Memorial Day and Kaleigh's Graduation

This is where Tyler and I spent most of our time, on a blanket playing in the shade!

Since we didn't get to go to Kaleigh's actual graduation bc of some scheduling conflicts...like her telling us the wrong date mostly, we celebrated with her this weekend. We always enjoy getting to see the girls anytime they can get down for a visit.

Besides the fact we were eaten alive by the bugs, we had a great time and are very thankful for the opportunity to spend time together.

Memorial Day Cook out

Kim and Brian had us all over for a Memorial Day Cook-out Saturday afternoon. This is the first time Tyler and Ben have been in the pool together. They seemed to enjoy themselves. I love watching them play together, I hope they will grow up to be great friends. I am sure they will!

Brian...The Grill Master in Action...and might I add he did a fantastic job, he fixed tons of food! Grilled Chicken, Brats, Hot dogs, Hamburgers...the works!

Sadie with her Aunt Kim...She was Kim's shadow all evening. It was great to see Chris, Risha, and the girls, they are such beautiful little girls!
