Over the River and Through the Woods....

We had the first White Christmas I can remember...what a beautiful day!

 It started snowing on Saturday morning, Christmas Day, and snowed all day, This pic is on Sunday Morning Dec 26th and it snowed all day today too...At last count today we had over 6 inches of snow on our deck!

 So when we got up on Sunday morning.... it was Over the River....

...and through the woods...

 ....to Grandmom's house we went....

 We dropped off Tyler and met up with Uncle Michael and Grandad to take a 4-Wheeler ride to the top of Granny's Knob

 Thomas nailed me with that snow ball as soon as I snapped this pic...

 

You might be a redneck if you put on your snow ski's and have your brother in law pull you through a cow field!!!

 In the mean time Grandaddy pulled Thomas on his sled behind the 4-Wheeler

 We were at J B's farm by this time and Thomas met up with his pal Brittany for a real nice ride!

I can' think of better way to spend yet another day with my family!! It was so beautiful!! And so much fun!!

What a wonderful Christmas...

Thomas said..."Wow, Santa brought me even more than I asked for"

 His Scooter was on the top of his list of favorites...

 Tyler seemed to like his talking cow the best...

 Grandmom and I fixed breakfast for everyone

 Grandmother and Thomas kept Tyler entertained

 Papaw and Grandaddy had a little snack while we were cooking

 After breakfast we opened presents

 Grandmother told us she thinks she has made a full recovery from being sick a few weeks back and wants to take a spin on Thomas' new scooter...

 Then Uncle Michael took a spin...for real!! And about knocked down his sister in the mean time! (some things never change)

 Then These two played Thomas' new Wii together!!

 Then we headed to Grandmom and Granddaddy's house for dinner

 Grandaddy grilled us steak for dinner...

We are so thankful that we were able to spend the day with our family!

Was that sleigh bells I just heard on the roof top???

It appears we have had a visitor sometime in the night,

and apparently he was hungry...

And we have hoof prints on the deck...The reindeer must have found there food!

Good news!! No Coal in anyone's stocking this year, wheww.....!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Thomas has cookies ready for Santa and reindeer food spread in the back yard...Now off to bed in anticipation of a visit from the big guy in the red suit!! Merry Christmas!!

Play Date

Tyler finally gets a play date...This is Ben Seavy with Tyler, Ben is 9 weeks older than Tyler.

Thomas is crazy about both these little guys!

Aren't they cute??? Did I mention Ben is 9 weeks older than Tyler, See... I have been telling everyone Tyler is a "Big" boy!

Kindergarten Christmas Party

Titus and I were both able to go to Thomas' Christmas party at school today. They broke up in groups of 3 or 4 and went to 5 different centers. There was a parent volunteer at each center to do each activity. They had a center that made reindeer food, which was a mixture of bird seed and glitter (apparently the glitter is what makes the reindeer fly) You spread this reindeer food in your yard on Christmas Eve in order to help the reindeer. In the next center they painted their hands to make a Santa face from there hand print (white on the finger tips for Santa's beard, pink on the palm for Santa's cheeks and face, and red on the thumb and top of hand for Santa's hat). This was the center Titus was in charge of and it was comical to say the least let me tell you...Titus was having to paint there little hands for them and some how get them to not get paint everywhere...it was super cute! The next center decorated sugar cookies. Then they came to my center which took a sugar cone (like for ice cream) and covered it with green frosting. Then they decorated the Christmas tree with m&m's, sprinkles, and various other candy. Then the kids were off to another center where they made reindeer sandwiches (this was peanut butter and jelly on wheat bread cut into a triangle shaped head, it had pretzels for antlers, raisins for eyes and a cherry for a nose).

At the end of all the activities his teacher gave all the kids gifts from her and from her teachers aid and she also opened her presents from the students. They had a very exciting day! Titus and I were grateful we got to be a part of there day. And Nana was kind enough to keep Tyler for us.
