What Have We Been Up To??

Wow! It's been a long time since I have done a blog post. I have been needing lots of extra rest lately so unfortunately the blog took a back seat for a while. We have exciting news to share. Check out the pic below. We are expecting a new baby! This is pic is from 9 weeks. We are now 12 weeks along.

Thank goodness Spring is almost here. It seems like its been the longest and cloudiest winter ever. And we are in serious need of sunshine and warmth in our life.

A blast from the Past

Thomas is still not feeling well so he has been needing lots of extra attention. Last night I remembered some of my old books from childhood that I had run across while in the attic getting down Christmas decorations. The Berenstain Bears were my very favorite books to read when I was little. I think I had them all at the time. So he and I pulled out the old box and and read for hours. He loved them...I am not sure who enjoyed it more, me or him. Probably me to be honest :) Another thing I loved was seeing how I had written my name in them and the date that I gotten them and who they were from. Thats something my mom always did was anytime she bought us a book or anyone gave it to us she wrote in them who they were from and when we got them. As we were old enough to write she let us write it ourselves. At the time I didn't think about it much but looking back I am very proud she thought of things like that.

Tinker Toys

What a great way to spend a rainy day! Thomas has been a little under the weather today so we found a little something to keep him entertained while he is staying in and getting back to himself. He got these Tinker Toys for Christmas and we have been seeing how many things we can make from it. So far we are doing pretty well...check out our work!

And we were both enjoying the quality time together!

Snowman Poem

This week I was talking with one of Thomas' teachers from daycare and telling her that I was having a hard time explaining the Trinity to Thomas in a way he understands. She shared this with me.... This is how they teach it and I just love it! Have I mentioned how much I love his pre-school and the amazing teachers??

When you see a snowman

3 snowballs round

He is reminding you

That God is 3 in 1

The bottom reminds us of God our Father

Our strong Rock and Foundation

The creator of all living things

People, tribes, and nations.

The middle shows us God the Son

With His arms spread open wide

Who died on the cross for each of us

Our sins Jesus' blood did hide.

The head reminds us of God the Holy Spirit

Who is our Counselor and Friend

He speaks to our hearts and minds

Transforming us in the likeness of Him.

So when we see a snowman

In the midst of all the wintertime fun

Listen carefully and he'll tell you...

While we were visiting we decided it would be a shame to have this much snow and not go snow tubing, Which has become one of our favorite winter activites.

We have been visiting Titus' brother and his family this past weekend in Ohio and we got to play in lots of snow while the guys went deer hunting together.

They had about 6-7 inches of snow and drifts as high as Thomas is Tall...Definitely the most snow Thomas has ever seen in his life.

Happy New Year!

We rang in the new year celebrating Jill's birthday and hanging out with friends out of town. For the sake of our friendship I won't tell you how old she is... and btw that was some of the best birthday cake I ever tasted! Delicious!!

The kids kept themselves entertained with the Wii...well when they weren't arguing over whose turn it was anyway!

What can you really say about 3 grown men laying together in a king size bed?? I think we'll just let this one speak for itself!
