A Visit with Santa Claus

My boys went to visit Santa last night!

The Perfect Black Friday

It's been a wonderful Black Friday. My boys and I have been at my Mom and Dad's house all day in our pj's while Titus has been hunting. We have eaten yummy Thanksgiving leftovers, watching movies, helping Grandmom decorate for Christmas, and Thomas has been reading to me from an old Dick and Jane book, he read over 70 pages to me. I can't believe how well is reading. Tyler has been getting plenty of attention too. I am pretty sure its safe to say he has been held absolutely all day long. Can we say... spoiled rotten! I even got some online shopping done this morning. I can't think of a better way to spend the day!

Happy Thanksgiving

Thomas' class put on a Thanksgiving program today. All the families were invited to watch. First they sang songs then did a little play about the first Thanksgiving. Thomas was a pilgrim.

Nana and Pa also joined us for the program. Thomas was very proud to have them there.

2 Months Old

Tyler is 2 months old. At his check-up yesterday they said he weighs 13 lbs and is 23 1/2 inches long. He is now wearing 3-6 month clothes. I think he is going to be a very big boy :)

Happy 80th Birthday

My sweet Grandmother just celebrated her 80th Birthday on Nov. 4th.
We took her to her out for her favorite meal which is at Red Lobster then had some delicious Chocolate Cake as well.

Halloween Fun...

Tyler's first Halloween...5 weeks old

Thomas was Batman this year for Halloween. Titus was working stand by so we recruited Grandaddy to drive us around and also took Grandmom to sit in the back seat and keep baby brother happy.  After trick or treating Thomas convinced Grandaddy to take him to McDonalds for french fries and a chocolate milkshake for supper. Then we went home so he could dig into his candy. We had a great night!

Haunted House

Check out the scary house we decorated last night. We went to Grandmom's house to tackle this little project because we figured Grandaddy could take care of Tyler while Thomas, Grandmom, and myself did the decorating. Thomas had a great time.

Daycare Halloween Party

Even though Tyler hasn't officially started daycare yet, Ms. Stephanie invited us to come by the annual halloween party they have, so this was Tyler's first visit to the daycare he will be attending soon! I love this place.

Worship time is always my favorite part of the day. So this is the part we joined them for.

Ms. Becca will be Tyler's teacher. She's fantastic!

Thomas' Halloween Party at School

Tyler and I went to Thomas' Kindergarten Halloween Party on Friday. In these pics they are having cupcakes and looking at the treat bags they just got.

5 Weeks Old

Tyler was 5 weeks old this past Wednesday. At his check up he weighed 10 lbs 8 oz he is growing so fast. He eats all the time, just this past week we have had about 4 nights so far of Tyler sleeping about 4-5 hours at a time which is very exciting because prior to this he was waking up to eat every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he keeps sleeping good at night.

Blue Ridge Parkway

This past Saturday Titus planned a mini trip for us to get out of the house and spend some time together for the weekend...I am pretty sure he is just trying to get on my good side before hunting season goes into full swing but thats ok...I will take it! My parents agreed to keep the kids for the weekend....so we drove the Asheville where we got on the Blue Ridge Parkway to take a nice drive and see all the pretty leaves changing colors. It was a beautiful day and we had such a great weekend together.

One of our stops along the way was at Mt Michell, which is the highest peak east of the Mississippi River and of course Titus insisted that we hike up to the highest peak just to say we had been there...so we did! Thankfully it wasnt too terribly far but it was very steep!

This is a pic while we were driving on the Lin Cove Viaduct which is at the face of Grandfather Mountain and is an engineering marvel, its the most complicated segmental concrete bridge ever built.

Fall Festival at Church

Friday night we took Thomas to the fall festival at our church

I am pretty sure his favorite part was the slide, where he ended up spending most of the night.

Batman!! is his costume this year....

And while we were at the festival, Nana agreed to take care of Tyler for the evening.

Just Swinging!

Tyler tried out his swing for the first time today. Thomas was making sure he liked it! So far the swing is going over very well. Tyler is 3 weeks old in this picture.
